This blog is inspired by a series of messages back and forth on Phone Sex Mistress Olivia on Tumblr. Some guy sent me a message. It was really weird. He acted like my tumblr was tinder and he was going to pick me up. As an aside, he did a really LOUSY job at it which is probably why he’s just reaching out to random people on tumblr and such. At any rate, I finally took him into private messaging and asked him why he was contacting me and why he was acting the way he was acting. I’m always curious about why people are doing things that seem odd or really DUMB.

Oh yes, you’re so right about the boundaries thing. I will say that I have a new appreciation of boundaries and how to set boundaries. I think, like many women, I wanted to be ‘nice’ until I realized the real cost. It’s a delicate balance but the learning process here has been invaluable in so much of my life.

Why does it cost so much ???
Um, well, because it is worth it?
An honest days wages for an honest days work.
Some of us have tight budgets, me right now, but I still believe in an honest days work for an honest days wages. Especially for creative content. A lot of content creators have it really tough because certain companies I won’t mention out of respect for your blog are actively creating a culture and process that de-values the worth of creative content.
I do not want to be a part of the de-valuation of creative content. Those who create creative content most certainly deserve an honest days wages for an honest days work.
And make no mistake about it, good phonesex is creative content. They are artists, they take pride in their work, and it is not easy.
My pocket book would love to pay 25 cents a minute to consume their artistic creations, but my conscious would not.
The charge doesn’t just go to her time on the phone. There are production costs in maintaining websites. There is time taken in writing blogs, in answering e-mails, in legal fees, taxes, large number of costs that come out of what is paid for the actual phonesex.
