Mistress Olivia I think that you have done a great job with this post explaining to people what you really do and how much a quality Mistress like yourself and others at LDW put into their work. Hi Wesley…..I think it depends on each Mistress. I’m totally cool with talking about a huge amount of My own real life.
There ARE boundaries that I insist on with regards to our phone relationship. I spell out those boundaries on the blog post on that topic. For those callers or potential callers who are unable or unwilling to respect those boundaries I politely but firmly tell them I am not the Mistress for them. RARELY does one of My callers push My boundaries past the limits that I have stated …. but, then again I have clear limits and detail the consequences of continuing to push My boundaries when I’ve told the caller to stop. It HAS happened but not often.
For the types of phone sex calls that I attract, the conversation is often as important as the sex fantasy! Like I said in response for b4, the issue of how personal to get is something to talk about with your Mistress.
My direct suggestion is to just ASK. Here’s another way that phone sex relationships are different than with a partner in real life. Maybe you don’t want to rock the boat in real life and so you let the risky conversations slide. Now, I personally don’t think that’s a good idea in ANY relationship (real life or erotic phone companion) because the stuff that you don’t say begins to fester.

The most important thing I do is to take each call and each caller as a unique individual creation. NO two calls are the same, just as no two people are the same.
Specifically I listen to nuances…not just in words but also in breathing, gasps, moans, etc. I might mention something, listen for the reaction, then modify the fantasy on the spot. Ironically, I do more listening than talking on the majority of My phone sex calls. Sometimes the caller can’t talk or is very shy then I do all the talking but I’m listening for the subtle clues that ARE there.
As far as the content of the erotic fantasy or roleplay I use a combo of My experiences, reading, and whatever is going on currently (for the caller or in the news). Yeah, Good question Tiffy! I dig minor league ball too! I starting going as it was a good way to break my young one into going to games…………5 year olds have limited attention spans. Odd outliers like Charlie Sheen aside, there is a general normative stereotype that “paying for it” in any sense is a blemish on one’s manhood. I suspect it is tied directly to the stereotypical male/female relationship where the sexy and aggressive male pursues and seduces the female.
So called “Mail Order Brides” have the same kind of stigma attached, as it is seen as an “un-manly” relationship approach.
But personally I do not see this as an issue unless the caller is completely misconstruing the relationship.
For example, going to strip clubs and stuffing money into the g-strings of dancers is generally considered a “manly” activity… unless the fellow in question thinks this is a viable means of courtship, and is hoping that somehow this is going to morph into a romantic relationship. That would then drift into the less “socially acceptable” vein in society’s eyes (IMHO).
I would imagine that women deal with similar stereotypes and blurry lines with regard to relationships. For example, a sexy woman is appreciated by all, but a woman who is “too easy” and is believed to only secure relationships with men by being overly… accomodating… tends to be viewed negatively. (Interesting side note, I think this is a direct companion to the male ideal above… How can the male prove his worth through seduction if the woman doesn’t require any seduction? You can’t seduce the already willing :-p)
Ditto for the “She trapped him!” concept, where if a woman is thought to have “secured” her man via “getting pregnant” or some kind of emotional blackmail, that is also frowned upon.
So I would say to your email correspondent that maybe he should re-evaluate his expectations of what this type of relationship entails.
